I am looking for someone who would be willing to take on a 6-7 week old grey to over-winter.
I am taking care of him right now because my son-in-law found him and I could never turn my back on an animal in distress, so I rushed to get him. But the thing is I don't have the space nor the time to care for squirrels until next spring (I am against a fall release in our climate). I just rehabbed 2 and put them in the same room as my white-footed mouse without realizing how bad an idea it was. The noise they made all day while she slept turned out to be very traumatic for her. I am so sorry for putting her through this, there is no way I will do it again. That room is not an option. With 2 cats, I am out of options, so I have nowhere to put a cage. Not to mention my very unhappy husband who does not want me to keep him…
Please help if you can!
I am willing to drive up to 4 hours distance from Montreal if necessary, which means if you live in Ontario or Quebec city I would bring you my little Poopoochi. I am already attached to him and I very sad to let him go, but that really is the best for all concerned.
