Sheldon, a newly rescued baby, wont poop. He eats grudgingly, (goatsmilk, yogurt, a little heavy cream and water) and I have been hydrating between feedings. He pees well. I cant feel any blockage or bloat- he feels soft and squishy. I have given him apple juice, warm soak in water, many massages, tickled hs anus with finger, q tip, warm cloth, etc. Not even a sign of poo. He came to us 2 days ago, I have had him for over 48 hours and not seen any poo. Is there anything else I can do for him? it is obvious he doesnt feel good. 292228292229292230

How did this little one come to you?
Meaning, did someone else hand him off to you, or
was he found and given directly to you.
I only ask because if he just came to you 2 days ago, it's not uncommon
for a little one not to poop for a while, depending on how long they have
been away from their mom.
I'm glad you're vigilant about this, but for now, I honestly feel he just
doesn't have enough in his tummy to poop.
Have you checked his bedding to make sure he isn't pooping in there?
Glad the tummy is squishy and not hard.
Keep an eye on him, and let us know how he's doing and when he poops. :)

Why are you feeding goat's milk?
Don't keep him on that too long, it's just a temporary formula.

He was handed off to me. They had him for about 12 hours before they brought him to me. There is no poop in his bedding- I was hoping!

The goatsmilk is hopefully to make him poo- it tends to have a slight laxative effect. I have esbilac I usually mix up.

My wife and I worry too much. IT was so hard losing the four siblings earlier- we are a little over-protective. Munchausens by proxy!

Nothing wrong with being a worrier OR being over-protective.
Our hands hold their lives. :hug
