Is it normal for her bottom teeth to be so long and the top teeth just coming in??? I also wanted to know is it normal for them to not eat as much when they first open there eyes? Is she just adjusting to her new world? She is still eating but just not like her normal self...it's almost like she is confused about it now that she can see.

I'm raising my first very young squirrels. Five little ones, I got them at about a week old. I did notice that their behavior did change when their eyes started to open. They would stare at me for a while and be very startled by movements of things around them....ex. my arm moving to get formula, or a person coming into the room. I made sure to make feeding time very calm and have NO one else around so they wouldn't be startled. I also spoke softly to them before touching ,let them smell my fingers, so they could smell and hear me and associate another creature being around before "seeing " a big looming thing coming for them. I spent extra time petting and cuddling them at this time too. After a few days, they were fine. Exploring and outgoing.
I learned from the wonderful folks on the SB many things.
It is very important to weigh the babies every day, kitchen gram scale, at the same time to ensure how much to feed and they are gaining weight.
I also noticed that potty time required more patience. They didn't always pee and poop like they did before eyed were open. So I would put them down for a few minutes and pet them and try again, usually with success.
Also, I did notice the lower teeth were much longer than the top, which are just coming in now (my bunch is 5 1/2 -6 weeks old)
