I have noticed 1 or 2 tiny blood spots (one looked about the size of squirrel foot print) over the past 3 days in the bedding. It was very faint red.

And, Kudzu has been Occasionally sneezing - just a random sneeze here or there, but no nasal discharge.

Just now while feeding him, I wiped his mouth and it was tinged red with blood. Could have been from his nose or mouth, I'm not sure.

He is almost 4 weeks old. The blood is not continuous.

He has his bottom teeth already (he's had them for a while.)

I'm just concerned. Any thoughts on what it could be?

The upper teeth will come in at around 5 - 6 weeks and they will bleed a bit when they are erupting.

Hold him up to your ear and listen to his breathing. Is he "clicking" when he breaths?

This does happen with some when feeding and their tongue gets in the way.
They don't really seem to react from doing it even though it's concerning to us.
As long as it's not a continuous thing it's not really a concern to worry about.

I do NOT hear any clicking.

(I'm still paranoid this will happen.)

The teeth into the tongue sounds plausible...those little teeth are sharp. Hopefully that is what it is.

I totally agree with Step. In fact, last night when Step came over we were feeding his darling babies and when he removed the nipple from the little one he was feeding to fill it again it was bloody. None of the 3 rehabilitators in the room even gave it a second thought because it happens often to babies this age as their teeth come in. I always warn any of my apprentices that this could happen and to not freak. It is pretty normal. Just wipe their little face and give them a big kiss. :blowkissPoor little one! :Love_Icon
