Noticed a small BB size lump on both sides of the rectum. They are deep under the skin and seem to be in line with the testicles. I handle him daily and have not noticed this before. It's difficult to explain but it feels more like anatomy than tumors. He poos and pees ok
Has any members heard or dealt with this ?? Thanks

I have been researching this and think I may have found my answer. Cowpers glands. They fit the description perfect, and they are part of the reproductive tract. So I think my guess is spot on.

You Got It! Cowpers glands get enlarged during the mating season on males only. Please notice that the sebaceous/fatty serum that these glands produce will be expelled during peeing by the squirrel and appear in the urine pool as dried up candle wax or as solid semi-transparent and semi-solid substance during the mating season (spring) and summer, depending on where you live, so do not be alerted adversely if you see this.
