I have never "dosed" it. I just put some on the pads of his feet and on his ears. Good luck!:Love_Icon

I actually put a drop or two on a small piece of nut and feed it to my squirrels about 20 minutes before I have to travel with them as well as rubbing it on their ears and paw pads and it works quite nicely to calm them a little. Angel is a bigger boy like Trooper, so he gets two drops. Hope the teeth trimming goes ok.:Love_Icon

Thank you all for the response. So they can eat it as well! I was concerned about the 27% alcohol content, but two drops for Trooper will be two drops in a bucket for his weight in alcohol level. I will try the ears, pads and nut doping.

I ned to trim his bottom left incisor because his top one broke and he keeps it from growing up.

Thanks,

Trooper's dad

I don't know about Humans, but u know there's one for pets, rite? Bach's Rescue Remedy for pets stress reliever... I've used it for Snickers plenty of times.

The one for pets(children) does not contain alcohol. Sources I've read or talked to suggest that it also renders the product slightly less effective as the alcohol does a much better job at getting or holding the active ingredients. Thus, many choose to use the human grade one on their pets, feeling that the benefit of the "better more effective" product outweighs the little bit of alcohol they are getting. I guess this is a judgement call each person makes.

Oh wow, ok... I didn't know that, thanks!! I'll keep an eye on this thread then and see what dosage ppl say is safe to use, and I'll keep that in mind for the future-- Thanks!!

I'm new to using this, I have only applied it topically to ears and paw pads as it gets absorbed quickly into their system that way.

I also have a spray form, that I spray into a carrier right before I put them in, to transport, I've heard this is helpful too for ones that you can't easily handle (like totally wild). They can breathe it in, aren't feeling man-handled which might cause even more stress.

This is great advice!! Thanks so much!! 😊 I wish I had known this when Snickers first came to us!! The 2nd day after we found him, I bought a carrier to take him to the vet, and he did NOT want to go in... Lol he bit me a few times, which didn't hurt physically, it only hurt my feelings 😅😅
