We were gone for the day and I left her in the outdoor cage over a week ago. When I came back she had broken herself out and was gone almost 24 hours. A couple of days ago the hair around her nipples seems to be falling out and her nipples are protruding 😜😬289846

If she is, is there anything we need to do to care for her. I am hoping her malocclusion is not passed on :p

I do not have a answer for you, but I do indeed see what you are seeing around her nipples. Is she in season...I know it's about time for it . Where I live 2nd season baby's are born in August.

It is time squirrels are born July through Early October 😬

Squirrel gestation is 45 days. How long ago do you think she might have been bred?

What part of Maryland are you in?

My assumption would be June 18th or 19th. But I took her into our carriage house to play the week before not realizing there was a hole in the wall and she found her way to where the babies sleep. She was being a brat and would not let me get her so she slept outside and I got her early the next morning. So it could have happened then I guess as well. Our male release, different litter but he wintered with her because he was was a late fall baby, still loves her and was chasing her that morning. So it could have happened then I guess 😜 That was June 9th. She is now on Lock down with a light and daily walks.

How exciting it will be if she is, to be able to witness the whole thing..

😬😜 I feel like the mother of a teen who should not be pregnant but is. Trying to look at the positive and the good that can come even if it is not planned 😳
