Hello :) My Granddaughter & Son-N-Law found a young Chipmunk in their backyard this past Sunday -very wobbly-either a Cit's Cat or Hawk got to it--Has Maggots in her ear & leg wound. I've been using Peroxide to get them out (& Tweezers) Can I give Amoxicillin or Clavamox to this Chipmunk? It's all I have ( Also is there anything else besides Peroxide I can use to get Maggots out of the wounds? (It has been working though!) She is eating..Which is a good thing. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to call Fish & Wild Life as they will kill her.
Make sure she is warm and you can start a hydration solution.

This is a good place to get started, click through all of the pages.
I'm sorry, I don't have med recommendations for you, keep refreshing the page and someone should be on to help soon.
At the practice where I worked we used peroxide to suffocate maggots and make them come to the surface as well. Rinse well in between and after with water.

You can give Clavamox, but we need the strength of the Clav. and the weight of
the chipmunk in grams.
Use Capstar for the maggots.
Use Capstar for the maggots.
I almost suggested this but didn't know rodents could have it. Thanks for the info!
