I bought some heavy cream, vanilla yogurt with probiotics, a 1CC syringe, and some infant ibuprofen... I have to wait until later today to buy a gram scale and the goat's milk, becuz I can't drive and none of the stores nearby had them... The baby licked some Pedialyte from the syringe, probly about 2.5 ml... Is there any safe amount of the infant ibuprofen that I could give in the meantime, before I'm able to buy the scale to weigh her? Like maybe a drop or something? Or should I just wait? Her eye is still swollen shut, and it makes me feel so bad for her, I just want to help her any way I can... I feel like throttling the guy who threw the rock at her!! 😠😡 Also, once I get the goat's milk, can I mix it and fees her immediately? Or do I still have to wait, in case she was dehydrated?

I think we would be safe to dose this little one at ~40 grams.
Make sure that the infant ibuprofen that you have is this strength: 50mg/1.25 mL
If it is, than the dose will be .01 cc which can be given every 4 hours.
This will amount to about ONE drop.
Try to keep her as hydrated as you can when giving any meds.
Does her back neck fur tent or does it go down when you pull it up.
You can start the formula right away, as long as she seems fully hydrated.
You can also give her some hydration in between formula feedings.
Remember pedialyte should be used no more than 24 hours.

Thank u so much! Yes, that is the strength I have of the infant ibuprofen... I was trying to give it to her, and she jerked and kind of smacked the syringe with her hand, and it startled me, and I spilled about a drop or two onto the glove I was wearing (cuz she bit me a few times), and she started licking the glove... Will this be enough for her to overdose? Oh god, I hope not... Can I mix the yogurt and heavy cream to give her a little bit now? Or should I just wait til I get the goat's milk later??

She will be fine if she only took 2 drops, not to worry.
You can give her yogurt now, but not the heavy cream without the GM,
we don't want her to get diarrhea. :eek
You can also hydrate her with a little water with just a touch of honey
for taste. They typically like everything warmed.

Thanks so much!! I'll try to warm it by either running the hot water over it, or putting it in a cup of hot water

Just in case you ever need the blood values for the Eastern Chipmunk, here is a link to a research study that includes that data.

*See page 36 for Table with blood values. 289471
