Squirrel sitter needed for flyers in Central FL

:wave123 Hi, everyone! Been a long time since I popped on here. A little background...my name is Shanon & I am squammy to Teddy & Munch...2 southern flying squirrels. We also have 2 dogs and a corn snake. :) I also was blessed to be squammy to Christine, a sweet, head-injured, non-releasable gray who died after several happy years with my family. My mother & I used to rehab & release orphan babies here in our little part of Florida until my mother's death in 2010.

My family & I will be travelling to Ohio later this month & will be gone for 10 days. The lady who usually cares for my squirrels & snake is unable to this time. I've got the snake taken care of but I need someone willing to take care of my flyboys. I'm willing to bring them (with their cages) to the home of whoever is willing and able to care for them. I'll provide blocks, nuts and cash to cover 10 days of veggies for my boys. I live in Lake County, near Mt. Dora...about an hour north of Orlando, about an hour south of Ocala, and about an hour and a half to either coast...maybe two to the Gulf side. Anyway, I'd really like to leave them with someone who has flyer experience. If someone here is able to help me out, feel free to respond here or PM me.

Hi Shanon,
Wow, it's been a LOONNNGGG time. :tilt Welcome back.
We met a long time ago at the Gathering. Christine was the first adult grey squirrel I ever held.
I have 2 flyers (boys). You said cages so I assume your boys are in separate cages also. Would they be OK in the same room with my flyers? Do they need out of cage time? That would worry me a little.
I'm could probably do it. I live in SE Hillsborough county. Google says it 1hr and 40min. Let me know.

:thankyou Thanks for the welcome & the offer, HRT4SQRLS! Awww! I think I remember you. She was a sweetheart. Almost an ambassador at those gatherings. I miss those.

I have a coworker who lives close by and has some experience with small critters, so we're going to try an introduction. If that doesn't work out, I'll definitely be in touch.
