My baby wont go #2 inside her cage. She holds it till I take her out and then she goes. Is this normal?

My guess is when you have her out touching and rubbing her belly stimulates her to poop. By adult male only poops when he is up high on something. I am constantly monitoring his poops when he is out. I guess gravity pulls the poops out of him.

I have mine using a small litter box in his cage.
Mostly pee in it but there has been a few nuggets left in it,
how old is he/she

She's between 8 and 10 weeks.

She should be young enough to stimulate, although she may put up a fuss. A lot of times it's the exertion that causes their bowels to move. She may not actually be refusing to go in the cage. It's just coincidental that she goes when you remove her. Mine, that are close to the same age, go tons when I am feeding them or when they are climbing on me. Not nearly so much in their bin. I still stimulate them before I feed them.
What type of a cage is she in?
Peristaslis works in animals like it does in humans. The more active, the more stimulation to "go". I am assuming your little one is very active, once out of the cage (I know my little gal poops a BUNCH when she is out running around and climbing all over the place!)

I won't have a picture of the cage till I get home later but it's the cage from the Henry's healthy pets website. And I have tried stimulating her but it seems to stress her out (she doesnt like running water) and even after 10 - 15 minutes she still hadn't gone.
