Hi. We have 2 Southern flying squirrels. We've had them for almost 3 months. They were babies ripped from their nest and we couldn't find mom. They are doing well, very active. One is blind in one eye because of the fall from their nest. It's eye filled with blood, scabbed then clouded over. It definitely doesn't hold it back any. One is a male and one is female, brother and sister. I'm not sure what to do regarding mating. Should they be kept separately? They play together, cuddle up and sleep together. I'd hate to separate them. What should I do?

Welcome to TSB!
I know that sometimes males and females will mate in captivity, but I'm unsure about siblings or flyers at all for that matter. Someone who knows what they're talking about will be on soon.
In the mean time, tell us about your critters! What's their diet (from beginning to now), what type of cage are they in, what's their names, annddd...WE LOVE PICTURES!! :grin2

Their names are Jack and Barbosa (from Pirates of the Caribbean) Jack has a little hole in its ear like it was pierced. And Barbosa because he only has the one eye he can see out of, he needs a patch to be more like his pirate name. Ofcourse now we know that Jack is Jacqueline! 😂 They started off on PetAg puppy milk replacement. They love fruits now, acorns, palm nuts. We have Baby Premium Sugar Glider Diet to feed them. We also tried a puree jar of mill worms and insects with different fruits but they didn't seem like that too much . They love to sneak and grab pieces of dog food out of our dogs feeding dish! (very pirate like) They love jumping onto and running all over my son Hunter. He is 12 and he loves them yo death.
