Hackberry tree safe?

Are branches from this tree safe? Wish we had more Oak and Hickory; we mostly have these off brand pasture trees :( Probably taste yucky but willing to offer

Yes, I have given my squirrels hackberry branches before and they love them. The wilds just love hackberry trees!

Hackberry Trees are a great tree for wildlife in general. The birds and small mammals love the berries. Here is a little bit more about them. They're not a wonderful showy tree like an oak, but they still have great value.
