View Full Version : Thanks !!
Haven't been on here for a while , just wanted to thank everyone here for the help. Roxy did just fine. We released her in the yard about a month ago. She is aprox 10 months old. Now we have a different problem. She comes back to the porch almost every day to get her treats, but she likes to jump on us & bites HARD now. She has made me bleed 3 times. What causes this ??

Curious, did you do a soft release where she is in an outside cage with no interaction besides feeding before actually releasing her?
I can't explain why she is biting you but you really need to start distancing yourself from her for her own safety as well as yours.
If she were to jump on a passerby, neighbor or whomever and bite them you will be held liable if known she was raised by you and
once reported to wildlife authorities/animal control she would be sought out and euthanized.

I released an Eastern Grey in early spring of last year, and she did same thing several times. I leave nuts and seeds out in my backyard for all squirrels (some I released in past). Don't let her jump on you. As already mentioned, try to distance yourself. If you leave food out she'll go to the food and not you.
good luck
