My little Munchkin has lost hair around her back legs, no rash. I believe it is a parasite. I had my husband pick up some Ivermectin and he brought me a syringe to use on a 250 pound horse. Is this too strong for her? I have read somewhere to put one drop on her back but, I'm scared to do that without any kind of confirmation. I don't want to hurt her. She is 6 1/2 months old now. It is Equine paste 1.87%. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Squirt a little blob of the paste out onto a plate, Using a toothpick or something similar, gather a bit of the paste THE SIZE OF AN UNCOOKED GRAIN OF RICE (and look at a grain of rice when you do this - don't guess - they are smaller than you think!). It is usually flavored so they don't hate it. Easiest is to wipe the paste into the ridges of a pecan and give it to her that way. It is not given topically - it is oral. Give one dose, then 7-10 days later a 2nd dose.
But before you do all that, PLEASE take a pic and put it on the board so we can see the hair loss. It may not be parasites and ivermectin is a strong med that you don't want to give if there isn't a reason!
On second thought - definitely don't dose without putting up a pic and letting us see. Ivermectin treats mange and mange means red, wrinkled, inflamed skin which is NOT what you are describing. I think you have something else going on.

Excellent advice from CritterMom! :thumbsup
As has been mentioned, you do not want to use Ivermectin unless it really is mange. Do you have a photo or two you could post?
Here's some more info about Ivermectin that might be useful: https://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/showthread.php?56727-Treating-Mange-Wild-Female-Squirrel-Possibly-Still-Pregnant-Nursing-Her-Young

I read that it was more on the parasite side of things because the area isn't bare and parasites will break the hair off above the skin? So, any and all help would be most appreciated!!

She eats a variety of foods. I started her on Pedialyte for about two or three days, then I believe it was kitten's milk. From there we started her on pine nuts and banana chips, variety of vegetables and fruits: butternut squash, acorn squash, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, snow peas, fresh green beans, avacados, mushrooms, yellow squash, broccoli, cauliflower, cabage, lettuce, corn, anything fresh. Since this time, we read about MBD and have continued to educate ourselves with magnesium and phosphorus ratios. We completely cut out pine nuts and mushrooms. She gets about 5 or 6 fresh vegetables each day. Sweet potatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, butternut squash, acorn squash and she gets 2 nuts a day, usually almonds as they are highest in Mg. She does eat french fries, 1-2 about every couple of weeks or so. And she is known to run and grab a bite of a little debbie snack cake if you don't watch her when you get it. Oh, we cut out the corn also. If I can think of anything else, I'll add it. Thank you so much for your help!!! She ate pumpkin seeds also and we cut these out, also.

OK, she needs to be eating the Henry's blocks. http://www.henryspets.com/squirrel-diet/ Buy either the adult or the picky blocks or a few of each.
You are only able to do so much in the diet without help and that is what these do. They were made by a squirrel person, are manufactured by a squirrel person...and pretty much every single one of us use them.
2 a day plus the healthy veggies and NO IVERMECTIN! I know they are pricey - I buy as many at a time as I can afford and they will all but drive over the box to jam it as full as they can to save you shipping costs. Freeze all but a couple days worth at a time, and keep them in the fridge in a sealed container - they have no preservatives.
This is dietary. MUCH better than mange!
When you introduce them, cut back on all the treats - give her the blocks first and then when she eats them, she can have all of her veggies and stuff.
