View Full Version : How do I clean my baby squirrel? Bath? Wash cloth? Soap?

Hi,
I am new to this squirrel thing. HE fell out of our tree and I am guessing he is 8 weeks. I have been feeding him Esbilac formula and he is quite teh messy eater. He has formula caked under his chin, neck and underarms. I don't want to frighten or harm him but he needs cleaned. Any suggestions?

What are you feeding him with?
He needs to be washed off after every feeding with warm water.
You can use a little dawn liquid regular/unscented dish soap to get what is now caked on off.
You need to be aware that left on formula like you describe will cause him to lose his fur from
the formula not being cleaned off. It's called formula scald.
