We have had our baby since August and she has been the ultimate joy of me and my family we rescued her. But she has changed she hides and sleeps all day and is very antisocial definitely change and we want her to live the life of a squirrel so were looking for some where that will be good she is pretty well domesticated we love her so much and just typing this thread has me crying😭 but it's not fare to keep her from living a lovely life of a squirrel. But if they can't rehabilitate her I want her back she's my baby

The baby you've had since August... you mentioned her behavior has changed and she hides all day. What has her diet been like? A lot of times issues that people see like this are diet related and once the diet is corrected things start to look better when it comes to things like this.
Was she an active squirrel and played on you a lot and now all the sudden she never leaves the comforts of her "nest"?
Does she get any out of cage time or is she too wild to be let loose in the house? I'm just trying to get a feel for what a typical day was for her before she changed.
It's important to make sure she's strong and healthy before she's released back into the wild. I'm not certain of any areas near you that take these guys in to release them... Hopefully someone else will chime in about that aspect of it.

As for the new baby... regular Dawn dish soap (the blue kind) will kill the fleas. Just give the baby a bath with a little bit of that and rinse it well and everything should be okay. Do you know what kind of formula to use for this little one? Maybe if you find a rehabber to release your other squirrel to, they can take this new baby also so it can have "siblings" to grow up with and be released with.

Thanks for helping these precious babies :hug

The baby since August is not caged she has the run of our room diet has not changed at all she eat rodent blocks fruit cheese every day for calcium and veggies she eats great thought maybe she's lonely so it was such a blessing to receive this little bundle of joy last night I think all's my baby needed was some company so let's see if this helps I'm just not sure of the condition of the new baby the story is sad . Some crows had scooped it up and dropped it from high up and then flew down and we're pecking at him so he ran to humans from the birds and since I already have a squirrel I was called and now we have him not sure of the gender I'm just feeding it day formula is what we gave our baby when we got her. I can tell the back legs are injured but still in use fully 😀 has energy so gonna give it a week or two to rest and heal a bit. When we got our baby 9 months ago her legs were injured also she couldn't perch and eat it was sad but b4 we knew it she was running about so we'll see how this goes I'll keep everyone updated thanks so much 288029
