Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if Lucy's teeth look alright for a 2year 10 month old squirrel. I placed deer antler and cutter bones in her cage along with wood;however I'm thinking maybe her teeth are too long and one of her top teeth looks a little crooked.

Keep in mind their teeth move like chopsticks and are not fixed in place like hoomin teeth, so they really may not be "crooked" The bottoms always seem to look too long when you pull down their bottom lip, like in the picture. What I cannot tell from the picture is if the lower teeth are worn at the tips indicating they are aligning with the uppers and wearing down as they should. The uppers look as though they are, but sometimes the uppers get "behind" the lower teeth and get worn down on the backside of the lowers while the lower teeth continue to grow and get too long.

Having said that, in absence of clearer pics of those lowers I would sya they are a-okay... but keep an eye on those lowers for a while to be certain.

Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me--I will keep eye on them. Also, will try to get another pic maybe showing the wearing down.
Again, thanks
