Spider snack

Sammy ate a spider!! Like DEVOURED it. I tried to get it away from him but he took off. Other than grossing me out should I be worried? I believe it was a wolf spider. Good grief I never thought I'd have to worry about making a post like this! It was already dead. I was about to pick it up but Sammy got it before I got back with the toilet paper. We haven't sprayed the house or yard with any chemicals that would have killed the spider so that shouldn't be an issue. Now he keeps going back looking for another one.

Sammy will be fine mom. :grin2 Squirrels are mostly herbivores but they don't mind eating a bug, spider, worm or other meat ever now and then. Some people actually feed their gray squirrels meal worms as a treat. I don't do that because they aren't particularly healthy for them. Now my flyers, they eat worms every day. I'm sure they would eat a roach or spider if I let them but that ain't gonna happen. :peace

Haha!! I figured it was probably okay. I tried to feed him superworms that I had for my bearded dragon and other than trying to see what it was he never showed any other interest. I'd forgotten about that until you mentioned meal worms.
