I believe this little guy is a mouse, can anyone positively determine which it is?

It has a short tail. I believe it is a vole.

He sure is a tiny little guy, my friend wasn't so sure he'd make it through the night but he did. He's climbing all over the place now and definitely lets him know when he's hungry! His eyes are still closed, I figure he's coming up on 2 weeks, eyes open at 3. Time will tell.
