What time of day is best for squirrels to get sunlight in order to prevent MBD?

Whenever there is sunlight, but never, ever, regardless of the temperature, leave a squirrel in direct sunlight without the ability to retreat to shade and a cooler place. Indirect sunlight is sufficient to provide Vitamin D.

My overwinters go outdoors onto the deck in the afternoon (weather permitting (well, weather I will tolerate!)), which means after the direct sunlight of morning on the deck (for here) has passed. :thumbsup
