Hi again! I released "my" squirrel last summer, and lately, there are holes in her fur (please, take a look at the pictures below). I wonder if she fought with other squirrels (there are many around here!!!) or if she has skins problems. The skin isn't red at all and she doesn't scratch herself (at least, when I see her). Any idea? It scares me a bit, cause it's very cold here in Québec and she gets out of her nest everyday, even when it snows/rain.
Thanks for your help!285361285362

I would try adding some avocado's and a quality squirrel block to her out door diet to make sure she isn't missing any much needed vitamin and minerals.

Coconut is also good for the fur and skin.

I can't verify it for sure, but to me it looks exactly like dermatophosis, a skin fungus disease, the fur breaks off at the skin level, so never any open sores or anything.

It's a nutritional deficiency. I had wilds with this, and gave them coconut meat, avocado, and coconut oil spread on nuts with crevases like pecans and walnuts, put in fridge to make runny oil go solid. Their fur cleared up within 2 months with the enriched diet.
