Shedding. Is it the right time of year??

2 and half year old male foxer. Eats henrys and I follow the nutrition chart. Very limited nuts. For the past few days I have noticed when hanging out and rubbing his body that he is shedding quite a bit. It's all over and even. Thinking molt??? But not sure if it's the right time of the year. Otherwise he is doing his normal things and seems fine. Rexies mom.
