The four foxer pinkies in Dallas my friend got all are clicking. She has been fighting to get them to take formula and I am thinking this was why. She can clearly hear them clicking now but has no meds on hand. Can anyone help? These are the babies from the other day. Is anyone close they are in Denton, TX that has meds?

Pappy does she know of ANYONE that may have Baytril, or Cipro, all we need is one pill.
Is she using a 1 cc syringe?
If so, can you ask if it's a SOL-M? Those things are wicked fast/slippery.
Have they aspirated?
Send a pm to Garden71 and see if your friend could get some abs.from them.

Pappy since you are going to be away from the computer,
tell your friend to join the board and post.
This way you don't have to be the go between if we
find help.
I hope that someone can find Cipro or Baytril quickly
for these little ones.
Do they all have pneumonia?

I don't have any meds on hand. We just used the last of it for Terry she had a UTI infection. All of the vets we know are closed today. Sorry we can't be anymore help. It's a shame more people don't get licensed here. A lot of people here in Texas we talk to have or had squirrels. Guess they want to stay under the radar.:dono

I'm here.
4 pinkies are all clicking when breathing. I don't have any antibiotics.
I also don't have a great deal of TIME! I know Mary asked, but is anyone else in North Texas able to take these boys?

Getting licensed in Texas is a very long process. And in the meantime, they watch you closely.
Don't want any babies seized and euthanized just because someone applied for a license!

You really are getting false info......
Both my wife and I are licensed in the state of Texas and it isn't as bad as you think. Anytime there is a problem with something and we contact the state they are GREAT!!!!! Sorry that you feel this way.....

We have someone who is 45 minutes away from you that has meds and can assess them if you bring them to him. He will give meds and first dose as well as instruct you on dosing. He is not able to take them due to present circumstances, but he is very willing to help if you can bring them to him.

Hmmmm. My info came from emails I exchanged with a woman in wildlife management, when I was asking about help for my dwarf foxer.
I'm glad you are a reliable rehab. But I've encountered more than one near me that are not reliable--and I do not trust them to act on the babies' best interests. Some threatened to report me for raising a squirrel--without offering any support or alternatives.
I also asked about becoming licensed and was extremely discouraged by the reply. Guess that's just th luck of the draw!

Meeting Joe and his wife was a huge blessing! So grateful! He says The Rat Pack (Frankie, Dean, Sammie and Joey) are healthy. Clicking I was hearing is the normal breathing sound. He noted that one is a fussy eater, but the other 3 were just very opposed to the nipple I was using. He gave me a miracle nipple, which they took to immediately. All have full bellies, and I have peace of mind.

I have to say that the reason I thought they were likely fine was because it was all four of them. It was ever so familiar because I did the EXACT same thing only rushed all of them in to my vet...:rofl4 He took one look at them and said "They're perfectly healthy pinkies, Gayle. They make sounds...take them home and stop acting nuts!". On the off chance that these really did have pneumonia I had to keep my trap shut...:grin3
I am so happy that these babies are fine! :Love_Icon

Not being there to physically see them ourselves, just even the risk it MIGHT be pneumonia (esp. with the fussy eating) I was erring on the side of caution. So very thankful how this worked out....this wonderful 'village' we have....:Love_Icon

Heard from Alden earlier, babies are doing great. One still a fussy eater but the others are great. She said she just felt so much more confident after meeting with Joe.
