I found a baby squirrel a little over a week ago. I tried to find the mother then and the baby's cries didn't seem to attract the mother's attention. The baby is doing well and it's eyes have opened since I found it, but I saw a squirrel climb up into the fronds of the palm that the baby fell out of. Will the mother still take her baby back?

I've never heard of a mom taking a baby back after this length of tiime. :(
What are you feeding this little one?
Can you post a picture?
Thank you for helping her.

I'm feeding him a mixture that's 3 parts powdered puppy milk replacer and 1 part heavy whipping cream. Can't post pictures at the moment but will when I can.

Are you mixing the powder with water first?
You need to get Powdered Puppy Esbilac.
Is that what you have?

I just want to repost this here.
Some people were getting these two confused.
You want the one on the right. Is that what you're feeding?
When buying PetAg puppy replacers make sure you are getting the correct one.
We have had several members this week with very sick squirrels due to feeding
the incorrect formula. (Through NO fault of their care takers, as it can be confusing)
PetLac sits in the squirrels tummies like cement.
They bloat, and can not defecate. This could cause death.
You want to get the PetAg Esbilac Puppy Milk Replacer Powder
NOT

Neither. Tin reads "PetAg Milk Replacer Plus" it has the blue silhouette of a dogs head on the tin.

NO to that formula! Please change to Esbilac immediately after giving several feedings of pedialyte to get that junk out of his system. Where are you located?

Yes, I'm mixing the powder and water and then adding the heavy cream. I'm using PetAg Milk Replacer Plus because the store nearby didn't carry Ebsilac.

Portland Texas. Can't make a trip to Corpus right now to get Ebsilac, but might be able to find something somewhere else.

Adding pictures of squirrel. Just uploaded a bunch I took really quick because I didn't have a lot of time. Also, as you can see, he was pooping quite a bit on me. http://imgur.com/a/cynjG
