9 wk old grey

Have a grey that is aprox 9 wks old. Have had him for about 3 wks. Been feeding him formula, grapes, avocado , walnuts. Hasn't been eating much except for grapes. Last 3 days , he won't drink his formula. He normally drinks 5 to 12 cc's . What else can I try?? Ordered some Henry's blocks, but they won't be here for a few days.

How much does he weigh? He is peeing & pooping?

Yes peeing & pooping fine . he weghs about 98 grams. Feeeding him scalded milk w/ vitamin e & just a lil karo in it.

He's been taking anywhere from 5 to 10 cc's per feeding.

P.S.
At 9 weeks of age your squirrel should be on Esbilac with Probiotics, being fed @ 5-7% of its body weight every five hours along with hhb blocks.
The vegetables, with limited fruits and nuts as a treat at night can wait a few more weeks until your squirrel is eating the hhb on regular bases.

Homemade Pedialyte
1 cup hot water
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt

*cool down, then feed
*add sugar if needed
*keeps in frig 3 days

The mix you are feeding him is destroying his digestive system, if you don't stop feeding it to him ASAP and flush the body out with the pedialyte recipe he will die on you.

Flush the system over night every 3 hours...... you need to empty his body of all the yuck of the milk mix...... then you can start the Esbilac at a ratio of 1:3 for two days, then move to the regular. 1:2 ratio.

Feed the Pedialyte like you would the formula......
@ 5-7% of their body weight.

** at least get 3cc of pedialyte in every 3 hours

**and yes, Powder Esbilac, no premix liquid.

Thanks sooo much for the help. Gave him the pedalyte all night, Got the Esbilac this morn & he just ate 7 cc's. Will keep you posted .

Thanks for all the help !!! He is doing great. Ate good at all feedings & VERY active today. Just waiting for the blocks to get here .

Henry's blocks came in yesterday & she loves em !! blocks say 1 a day , then increase to 2 a day , should I still give formula & how much & for how long ??

Don't stop formula. Offer it as long as she'll take it :thumbsup

Once she stops eating from the syringe, offer it in a bowl - they sometimes don't like to be treated like babies!
