View Full Version : What is this fluttering sound?
Basil is a 12 week old boy and is making a fluttering sound with his mouth (kind of like large insect wings flying). He does it during play, jumping back and forth and zipping around and while sitting on my shoulder looking right at me (which scared the crap out of me the first time because I didn't know if it was a pre-attack-mommy's-face sound).
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I call that purring!! I've never had one attack while purring, so your face should be fine! :grin3
AWESOME! I was hoping that was purring. You just made my day! :dance

Yes that noise you are hearing is purring - I love when they do that - just like lukaslolamaus said squirrel purrs are the best.
