Pumpkin came in a very thin 97 grams. Every bone in the body is touchable.

Had warm tree syndrome. Curled up on a woman's foot. Pumpkin was given pedilyte in a 10cc syringe . And kept warm. I got him late Sunday.

He ate more pedialyte but was not super interested. Monday we started in 25% dilute formula . He seemed more interested. Tuesday we went to 50% and he would pause and gag. ( 5cc)
Sometime Tuesday afternoon he was less interested.
Wensday he refused. I am now giving 5cc LRS oral and some sub q in between meals. No change to day ( Thursday) . Just not interested in eating.
I can get most of it in him but it takes 30 minutes.

20/50 FV
LRS
Pee is clear and not scant but not abundant.
Poo is solid and black ( still momma poo) more scant now than was on intake.
He whimpers and sighs like a puppy at times while eating.
Because of the decrease in eating, I did think Pnumonia and started him on baytril last night.

Baytril is a good idea.

Get some Esbilac - the powdered puppy formula, not the liquid in cans. It is a lot more digestible than the FV and he may prefer the taste. You can also dip the tip of the feeding syringe in something a little sweet - some watered down honey or similar - before you pop it in his mouth.

It is when a lost or orphaned baby squirrel treats a human as a "warm tree" and climbs up them seeking help. Squirrels separated from momma will seek out help from anywhere, including humans. Some humans freak out since they consider this abnormal behavior and too often think the squirrel is rabid or suffering some other ailment. The tendency of babies to seek out help may also exaplin why so many are found by dogs, cats and the like...

Tried the honey tip . No real response.
Finder said he gaged a lot with them. They sent me a video f them feeding and I swear I see/hear sneezing.

I have some esbilac .

He's still hanging in there..
He greets me at meal and snack times.. But still just barely interested in anything oral.

The decreased appetite, wheezing and sneezing all point to pneumonia in my book. Let the Baytril do its thing; hopefully in 36 hours or so you'll see a marked difference. Keep trying to hydrate him, every 2 hrs if necessary.
