Hey Annie Rn here again. Some of you will remember me from about a year ago. I raised and overwintered 3 sweet babies. They are doing well. I originally was getting o. To ask for advice on how to handle a sit with a friend trying to raise babies. But On to the point of the post. My husband got a call from a guy that works with him that he had 3 baby squirrels and he was afraid they were going to die. Of course we quickly went to get them. We got there and all 3 were SUPER cold. I quickly picked all three up and put them in my shirt! All the boys just looked at me weird. As I was trying to get info one of them died. They have had them for 2 days and haven't had a heat source on them. So we got home as quick as we could, another died on the way home. I am going to bury them next to my dog I had to put to sleep. I have the one in a box with some fleece half on a heating pad. I am making the homage Pedialyte and will rehydrate him once he is warm. I will attach a picture, any advice is welcome since it has been so long.

Hi AnnieRN, it's SO GOOD to see you again! :w00t:hug
Go to this link, and then it will take you to another link.
It's the best refresher course offered. :)
Thank you so much for helping these little ones.
I'm sorry about the other two passing. So very sad.
Seems like sometimes they know when to take their final
journey home..........When they are lovingly with an angel and
they can safely let go.

After fully hydrated, remember to start him off with diluted formula of 1 part powdered esbilac puppy formula,
(or Fox Valley 20/50) to 3 parts hot water.
After a few feedings go to 1 part formula to 2 parts hot water.
Typically we like it to sit in the refrig for a few hours to completely dissolve.
Always shake or whisk it up before putting it in the syringe,
draw from the bottom to avoid drawing up the bubbles.

Thank you. My neighbor had an eyedropper but I have to go tomorrow and get everything else. I moved since my last babies so I am hoping I can find everything. We live in a very small town. We don't even have a stop light on the town.....

She did not make it. I was so hoping she would. But she died being held. Now, the questioning of myself, of what I did wrong.....

Sorry to hear that AnnieRN. The babies were far too compromised when you received them so there is no reason to question yourself at all. :grouphug

I am so glad to see you post again. I've been worried about you. Believe it or not I thought about you this past weekend. :hug
