My squirrel is about 3-4 weeks old, has bottom teeth but not top. She's been waking up every 2-3 hours to eat and just chug and eats a bunch.. after she eats she nibbles and bites on my shirt. I don't know if she needs even more food or if she's just teething. She also likes to climb in my hair and lick/nibble on my hair.

Awww she's loving on you :Love_Icon giving you a little grooming :serene

The easiest way to know if you're feeding the right amount is to go by this gage...feed 5-7% of her body weight... if she weighs 50 grams give her 2.5 mL/cc's to 3.5 mL/cc's ...100 grams 5 to 7 mL's/cc's :great also I think she's getting enough because you are feeding her often...at this age every 4 hours will do:great

Thank you, thank you for saving her....she's thanking you in her own way with the lovins she's giving you :klunk :Love_Icon

How much does your little one weigh?
Here's a chart to help you.
Weigh the squirrel and go by the chart according
to their weight, feed the appropriate amount in mLs/cc's.

The chart below reflects the "rule of thumb" for feeding formula.
Weigh the squirrel in grams and give ~ 5-7% of their body weight in
formula (mLs/cc's) as reflected on the chart below.

So she weighs 61 grams, but is that enough for a 3-4 week old fox squirrel? I mean her stomach looks fat and she seems healthy I just don't know if she's under weight

I'm not sure if that's good for a Fox squirrel...that seems small....we have grey squirrels that size....but squirrels are larger up north....but they do come in all sizes...I had two grey squirrels that opened their eyes right when I got them ...so they had to be 5 wks old....they came from a tree trimmer so mom had them up until I got them...they only weighed 50 g ...which was small :dono they grew up to be normal size squirrels....so who knows :grin3 are you sure it's a Foxer? If you can post a pic it would be helpful:great and as long as she looks healthy....I wouldn't worry too much:Love_Icon

She also just ate 2 hours ago and just woke up hungry and crying. I fed her 3ml bc that's the amount for her weight.
