Is it OK to give a 5-6 week old a little bit of apple juice to help him poop? And could I give the 7-8 week olds just a taste of Gerber peaches or Hawaiian Delight? Daisy loved those while she was sick...

Hi Pam, I would think a small amount of apple juice wouldn't hurt. You can also add a little bit of karo light corn syrup to the formula, it also has laxative properties. You just don't want the bowels to go in the opposite direction and become loose. :eek. As for the babyfood, I'm not sure you want to encourage them to like sweet babyfood, if they haven't already started eating block really well and their veggies. Out of the veggie, and occasional fruit, buffet my guys get everyday, they STILL take the block and boo balls first! Even over avocado, which used to be their favorite!

I agree with Mel. I wouldn't want to encourage the 'sweet tooth' this early in the process. There is nothing worse than a picky eater.
Diluted apple juice will get things moving. :grin2

They've started munching (making a mess) on the Zupreem biscuits... lol
One of them actually refused his formula this morning after he'd been
munching on the biscuits. I didn't think they were actually eating it but
maybe HE is. :dono
