Is Clav better for pneumonia than Baytril?

I've tried searching for the correct Baytril dose for an 85 gram squirrel. I didn't want to make a new post because I know it is somewhere here. Is there a sticky for doses of Baytril, Clavamox, Cipro, etc?

I have 100mg/ml Baytril. I've been rat dose that we use here a the clinic. Want to be sure.

I've got one clicking and one not eating as well today.

Help,
Mennome

Someone will pm you with the correct dose based on his current weight in g's.

They generally don't put them in threads. Stick around and don't forget to refresh your pages.

Is this the injectable Baytril?
Going off board for a while, babies to feed.
Can you get a pill if this is injectable?
When dose orally it can burn the mouth.

Let me send you the page for dosing the clavamox and the baytril from the WMB book.
If this is aspiration pneumonia the Cipro/Baytril is a good choice, if not I would go with Clavamox.

What are you treating them for?

When I went to feed her yesterday morning she was cold, breathing badly and you could hear her wheeze . I got her warmed up and gave her electrolytes for 24 hours.

What are you keeping her in and what is her heat source? Making sure she doesn't have to fight to stay warm or comfy will allow her body use that energy to heal.

I would go with Clavamox for pneumonia.
Baytril or Cipro for aspiration pneumonia.
I sent the pages via pm.

Aspiration pneumonia. I have oral Baytril, but can use Cipro tablet if oral affects the mouth tissues.
