Hi everyone, this is my first posting.
I rescued 5 squirrels from a chimney after the home owner lit a fire in his wood stove then discovered there were squirrels inside. Mom died and we have raised them since they were about 2-3 weeks old. Eyes were closed, they could crawl and now appear to be doing great accept for the fact that they have had too much human contact and can't be released.
Our concern is 1 out of the five seems to have thinning hair on her back and stem of tail and another with a slight spot. (they are both together in one photo). They have lots of energy, no redness or crust . We have 2 UV lights on the cage and they eat mostly greens, Fruit zupreem parrot food, rat blocks, squirrel balls and Nuts as treats, (pecans and walnuts) and recently stopped giving them corn.
Can someone tell if this like a molt or something more serious.
Thanks
