The older Teddy gets the more questions I'm finding I have for y'all. Thank y'all for the wealth of information y'all share. Teddy and I are so grateful! Teddy's eyes started opening yesterday evening but fully opened last night/this early morning. His eyes are bright and beautiful :Love_Icon This morning my handsome Teddy decided he wants to chew. Chew on my hair (I only lost a small piece :laugh2 then he started chewing on my finger and my finger nail. It was during and after his feeding. He was 150g last night before his eyes opened and he is up to 11-12cc per feeding every 3.5-4.5 hours. Is he too young for his antler chew or something else? I also wasn't sure about when to order HHB so they will be fresh. Thanks in advance.

I usually put in small twigs that they can chew on and play with. Not sure about when to add an antler.
You can get Mazuri/Oxbow/Kaytee rodent blocks from the pet store to add some solid foods in there with him to nibble on until you get the HHBs. He sounds like a handful already!

Oh good! So he's not too young? I had read about putting in rodent block before eyes opened but I lost track of so much just enjoying him. He is a handful, but so much fun. I'm loving watching him grow. Thank you I'll grab some twigs now and run down to the store for some rodent block too.

Go ahead and order the Henry's blocks for him. Take a few out and put them in a sealed little refrigerator container in the refrigerator, and seal the big bag well and put in the freezer and they will last for ages. I usually keep a day or two's worth in the fridge and freeze everything else, taking from the frozen ones as I need.

My fatty disfigures the miracle nipples, how long should I keep them or replace them? He sucks so vigorously that they end up lots longer and fatter than when we start. I'm thinking I need to order them in bulk at this point. I still have his older nipples but we're up to about 12 nipples at this point. I don't mind buying him more just not sure how many more I might need and I'd like to save money if possible. I'm asking now because I'm ordering his HHB high protein blocks this evening. Thank y'all both for the advice.

I don't know what others do but once they start biting those nipples I usually just use the syringe by itself, keeping a close watch that they don't chew the end off. Syringes are cheap if bought in bulk. :grin3

I did buy the syringes in bulk when he first got here. Amazon has 100 slip tip 3cc syringes for $10. Teddy got 200 of the 3cc and 100 of the 1cc 4 weeks ago when he came to us. Thank you so much for the advice. He's not chewing (yet) he's just sucking vigorously. I'll stick to the syringes for now.
