black walnuts in the fruit

Picked up a few black walnuts in the fruit from the woods. Is it safe to to give my adult gray squirrel the whole fruit?

Yes, but you are going to have an incredible mess. The pioneers used to make brown dye by soaking the husks in water, so prepare yourself for brown squirrel faces and brown anywhere they happen to be when they are ripping the husks off...:grin2
