Last year, noticed he had a bleeding toenail/broken. cleaned too care of best we could or knew how. Took a LONG time for new toe nail (was gone basically) to come back in.
It has apparently, no tip region now?
Tonight we noticed he appeared a little in pain with it. Looked with glasses, and it is "ingrown"? maybe not ingrown, curved sideways a little. Cant find a pic to mimic it. My husband clipped all other tips on toenails on that foot, but he wasnt having either of us clipping it.
Looks like a hook, kind of, going sideways a little.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried giving him Rescue Remedy to calm him before
clipping the toe nail that is painful to him? --it might help.
You can purchase it at Walmart, local Pet stores or Online.

No I have not. Never heard of it truthfully. What exactly does it do for/to him? Obviously calm him. Any ideas on "how much to give him? I assume it is liquid?
Good advice and good to know. Thanks!

My girl completely lost a toenail. Took a very long time for it to come back and when it did it's very much like your describing kinda off center to the side just a bit. Here's what I've noticed regarding that particular nail and why it bother's her so much. It gets hooked on her other toenail regularly when we're playing so I have to check it often and unhook them. Since paying close attention and detangling it doesn't appear to bother her half as much. Hope this helps a bit
