Been helping someone in Dallas area with fox baby. She has had him a week today. He has not gained any weight, although he has been active. This morning he is bleeding out his anus. Is there anyone in this area that may be able to get this baby and perhaps have a vet check it? He has been fine (except not gaining weight). He is on Esbilac.

Checking on someone right now. That is odd to be bleeding from his rectum a week later. How old is he?

She told me when he poops, his anus stays open for a bit. She has been giving fluids between feedings, as over the weekend, his poop got very loose (she had someone watching him as she had something she had to do. She gave very strict instructions, but we all know how that goes.) His poop firmed up. But she said he had been wiggly when pottying him (but then they all are) but now questioning if it was hurting him to go. Sent text to person you sent me, Nancy. Hopefully will hear back.

You're hearing back. :-)
Location?
Type of formula? (Esbilac what?)
Bruising?
Milk line when feeding?

I just got home. Sent her your number. Alert and active, only bleeds when stimulated to poop. Esbilac formula. No bruising. Has had him one week.

My partner in crime is in the area today as well. Hopefully she can acquire the fuzzy to be before I can, which is after work.
I'm perplexed by the bleeding. Curious if goats milk is better than fox valley for the way pinkies. We have a 3- weeker who did fine on goat for the first week.
(Couldn't continue cause the fridge went out)
