This is my second time with a baby but with this one we are unsure of when it was found. Today is Monday and he thinks they said they had it on Saturday but maybe Sunday. He/she looks to be about 4 weeks old. I have had her for three hours and have been giving her pedialyte every half hour or so but she has not urinated yet.
I do not have a syringe with the amount I've given listed but think it is about 3-5cc's each time.
The people that first found her were giving her cows milk. Again, I don't know how much or if it was for one or two days.
She's very active and was thrilled to have pedialyte.
I am worried about the bathroom issue though.
Any words of advice?

I wouldn't worry about the lack of urine at this point. The baby is probably dehydrated. When it's fully hydrated the urine should come.

Teri,
Watch out for diarrhea. Cows milk is very hard on their intestinal system. Get some probiotics, baby rice cereal, and banana baby food on hand. Will tell you how to use it later. Hydrate and hydrate more to get that out of your baby's body. Do you know if they aspirated her while they fed? It would be wise to get some antibiotics on hand too. The ones that work the best for aspiration pneumonia is Baytril/cipro or Clavamox. There are some others but right now I don't have the list.
Ask any questions, there is no such thing as a dumb question when raising babies. Get the babies weight every day and feed 5% of that. We would love a picture.

So she peed and pooped!! She continues to do very well, is eager to eat. She weighs 100 grams and her eyes are barely open. I am guessing 4-5 weeks. She looks a lot darker then my other guy was. I am attempting to upload a couple photos now.
I will keep you all posted. Thank you!
Teri
