We got a call from someone in Virginia who has a baby squirrel (wild) about 4-5 months old, who has no hair (not due to mange). He is going to send pictures (I will post once I get them), but he needs someone to advise him on how to help this squirrel prepare and survive the coming winter.

No, but he called from area code 540, if that helps anyone. I am hoping he will register here (since that was the first thing out of my mouth to him!!) and then he can get some expert advice here too!

I just put on a new member Scott, from Virginia. Hopefully this is the same guy!

Yes that was me (scott). Please to all, thanks for your help. I am actively trying to catch Pinky. I originally underestimated her age. She is closer to 6-7 months.

I'm not a rehabber but I do live in VA and I have a 1.5 year old disabled squirrel that I've raised from around 4 weeks old. I can't imagine with this ice storm we're having the baby is keeping very warm. I am willing to come help you catch this little guy if he's still out in the cold. Maybe a nice warm box with a stash of nuts would help lure him to where he can be caught :-( please let me know if you need any help!
