So I bought a ton of Collard Greens at the supermarket the other day thinking they looked leafy and delicious... came home and realized on the Squirrel Pyramid that Collard Greens are on the "Do Not Feed" list...I'm not sure why they are on that list and after reading other forums from years and years ago on here there seem to be some mixed feelings about these greens, so i thought id make my own post.. whatcha all think? Are Collard Greens safe/okay to give Rats and Squirrels?

In VERY small quantities. They have lots of vitamins and minerals, which is good, but it also has lots of oxalic acid, which can cause kidney issues - stones, etc., in high quantities. So they can have them every once in a while but you don't want them as part of the daily diet.
