I have 3 babies - about 7 weeks old - 2 girls, 1 boy. the boy is about 190 grams. the girls are wreaking havoc on their brother's pee pee. At this point, I have to soak it in warm water to get him to pee. I've tried Yuk, and I've tried wrapping him in vet wrap and tried the sock. He's a real Houdini and squirms out of everything in under 3 minutes (with the help of the other 2 tugging at him!)
So now I have him separated in his own carrier, but how sad is that?! Anyone out there with any really great ideas? :dono

If you are handy with sewing, you could make a sort of 'onesie' out of fleece with velcro down the back (with front and rear leg holes, as well as one for tail and neck). Was thinking of making something like this, since it has happened to me before. Are you sure he is not doing it to himself?

Pappy if you have a pattern for such a thing I would be SO happy to have it or know where to get it. I got patterns (dog patterns) for something like that to make a onsie for TW. Total FAIL. I also have experimented with that sort of thing to protect Scooter's legs (my paralyzed boy) it wasn't an absolute fail but he ate it. Still trying to figure out a squirrel size "garment" for suckers and draggers.

yep - I'm sure. I've seen the others in the act! I have tried making a onesie - but did it with a very small sock. but...it was stretchy - so maybe fleece would work. maybe without being able to stretch and pull it, it will stay on. worth a try. thanks, pappy 1264, for the idea. I'm just wondering what everyone else does. I can't imagine that I'm the only one with this problem!

I had to make one for my sugar glider a few years ago, so I am sure I can do one for a baby squee. Will take some measurements and see if I can come up with something.

Are they getting enough to eat or being fed too far apart? :thinking

Put a dab of allspice or powdered cloves around his penis. Don't put it on the end where he urinates. and around his genital area after every feeding. Squirrels don't like the smell. His sisters will still sleep near him, but they won't put their noses near the area with allspice or cloves.

Wow! never heard of this! thanks! I'll definitely give it a try.
I'm sure it started because the 2 girls had a bout with diarrhea so I was cutting back on their formula and they were always hungry, of course! so this started it, and now, even though there's no more D, the habit is there :( so when I put the boy back into the cage, the 2 sisters make a bee line to see who gets to it first!:grin2 Lets see how fast they run when they get a whif of that allspice and cloves!
THANK you, DaSquirrel Mom!

Just reporting back that the allspice WORKS!!! I did a double whammy...put the Yuk on first, then a few pinches of the allspice - so the allspice sticks to the Yuk. The 2 darling sisters haven't bothered him since! I haven't even tried the ground cloves. figured if I get a squirrel who happens to love the taste/smell of allspice, then I'll break open the cloves!
Can't THANK you enough, DaSquirrel Mom!! Wish I'd known about this trick 12 years ago...but at least I'll know it now for the next 12 years!
Here's a pic:
