Release question

I know it is recommended to stop feeding wild squirrels in the area where you plan to release rehabbed squirrels. My question is, how do the rehabbed squirrels, while in their release cage, learn appropriate squirrel behaviour from the wild squirrels if they aren't around? Would it be ok to continue to feed wilds for a couple of weeks while squirrels are in the release cage, and then stop feeding about two weeks prior to when you want to release?

I stopped a couple of months before I put mine outdoors. They definitely figured it out themselves and are now ruling the yard.:w00t
