Hello,
I have a strep skin infection, I broke out in bumps which turned to lesions because I couldn't stop scratching! I'm on 2 antibiotics. I have minimized my contact with her, but since I usually take her out all day to play, climb all over me lol. She is attached to my hip usually so her having to stay caged because she likes to "clean" me. So my question is can she catch my skin infection? Should I give her antibiotics as a precaution? I have not seen any bumps on her at all so I don't think she has it but I don't know if it would effect them differently. I'm new to squirrel stuff lol she's about a year old now and I've had her since she was about 4 weeks old, this board has helped me every step of the way! Oh yes and yesterday was my birthday and I got an email from TSB, that was awesome! Thank you.

:wave123 Happy Birthday..a day late :hidechair :grin3

I would go with the assumption she can catch it....I wouldn't start her on ABs but I would wrap the areas affected on you....wear a robe and gloves :dono it's not good for her not to see you daily....plus not get her excercise :great just be very careful....others may know more about this....they should post something if they feel there's more you should do :Love_Icon get well soon :serene

I cover up my arms and stomach but I have a few on my face and she likes to lick me. I'm just worried that if she's out and climbing on me she could catch it. My daughter takes her out for a few hours after she gets home. She's the only other person that can. But I try to let her so she doesn't think I don't love her anymore, but I'm afraid to let her climb on me. Thank you!

I know it's tough....maybe you could just spend a little time with her....and try to avoid letting her near your face :dono easier said than done...I know when they want something...good luck stopping them:grin3 that's wonderful that she's attached to your daughter too...that's a big help:great I always say don't miss too many days seeing them...especially if your not the primary person...like your daughter ...it doesn't take much time for them to change their mind :eek
