As my husband was putting Nibbles back in the cage and closing the door Nibbles rear foot got caught in the door. He's using it but doesn't seem to grasp with his nails as much with that foot. There is no bleeding and he's walking on it. Is there anything I should give him or do? Could he have a broken toe or foot and still walk on it?

Just my experience.
This has happened many times. It hurts for a couple of days.
If you notice no improvement by late tomorrow, I would suspect
something could be broken.
Give some ibuprofen for pain and inflammation,
and see if that helps him.
I suspect he's favoring it just because it hurts. :hug
If this isn't a heavy cage door, and it wasn't slammed,
I don't think it could be broken.

Nibbles spent about an hour in his box while his brother ran around the cage, but now he's out and using his foot as though nothing happened. I'm relieved!
