HELP!
I am new to this site and I am not sure how to start my own thread. I am having a similar problem with my little guy Earl. He is almost 4yrs old, I have had him since he was a baby... one of my employees found him on the ground in the middle of a bad thunderstorm in the middle of the road. She scooped him up and brought him to work and, well I have had him ever since.
Yesterday I noticed his right cheek was swollen, he is eating and drinking. I have a friend who works at a local animal hospital and she was able to get me enrofloxacin and meloxicam. I started him on the antibiotics last night as well as the anti-inflammatory. I also noticed for the first time his penis is out of its sheath (like a dog). I have never seen this before, I tried to wet it, and lubricate it with some coconut oil (this has happened to my dog and usually wetting it made it better. It has still not gone back to normal....
Now the most alarming behavior I noticed this morning. He seems to be acting "drunk" for lack of a better term. He is sitting kind of balled up and is hopping like a rabbit rather than moving around normally.
I live in MA so I can't bring him to a vet. I have no idea what else to do.
