I have one group of babies about 6 1/2 weeks old I have had since they were under a week. They are all doing well. Three days ago I got a new little one in that developmentally seems about the same age, but is 1/2 the size of mine. When I got her she was cold, dehydrated and very thin. She is eating well and gaining weight. My other three are in a large cage. This one is alone right now until she is bigger and stronger. When it is time, I would like to place them all together. Will they accept her in their indoor cage, do I wait until they all go in pre-release cage? I never had to mix them before. They are all Eastern Grey Squirrels.

Your three are getting close to the age where they will not accept an outsider into their group, plus if the size of the fourth squirrel is much smaller your three may pick on him and we don't need that. You may have to raise the singleton by himself or find him another cage mate, Good Luck.
