Swollen Nose - Fall From Tree

Hi All:

I got this guy, Little Boy Bloo in 2 nights ago, his nose bled on and off all night, but that has finally stopped. I've cleaned it as best I can but he cries when I do it, so I'm going really slow. But his nose and top of his face is really swollen. Also, his jaw looked really swollen last night and this am, but now it seems to be better.

What bothers me the most is how he breathes, he gapes, I tried to get it on this video and you can see it a little, I had him sleep with me last night and I could hear him doing this all night long.

I gave him Metacam, but nothing else. I checked and none of his incisors were knocked out what else can I do for him? Does he need to go to the vet?

ANYTHING that gets aspirated into the lungs, including blood, can cause aspiration pneumonia - it doesn't HAVE to be food though of course it usually is. Do you think he could have aspirated some of the blood and has A/P now?

I wouldn't give ab's without a specific call for them.
Little guy got ground punched in the nose, breathing is going to be diffacult
especially with swelling. The Metacam will help reduce that, keeping his nostrals
clean/ clear as much as possible will also help.
Running a hot shower and using as a vaporizer may also help with his breathing.
