View Full Version : [HELP] Baby Squirrel fell from tree. (pictures)

So about a week ago a 2 baby squirrels fell from a tree along with their mother and I got the Mon to take back one of them but, the momma couldn't find the other one so I took him and attempted to get the mom to take it back but she wouldn't so I have been taking care of him for about 4 days now and he seems OK but, he doesn't move much so I wanted to post and see if anyone has ever had experience with raising one. I'll include a picture maybe you can tell me how old he is...

He is at least 8 weeks old. We have an excellent licensed rehabber in Oregon who may be able to help you with this squirrel; frankly, he looks to be in pretty bad shape. What part of the state are you in?

I watched the video. He may have injured his back/spine in the fall or he could have a head injury that requires steroids. If he's not using his back legs there's an issue for sure. He's going to need a plastic bin with some holes drilled in it and some fleece (tshirts or sweatshirts work well also). It's not wise to let the dog near him, animals will be animals and an accident is the last thing you need.
Maybe an admin can change the title of your thread to something like "need rehabber in the Portland area".
Thanks for saving that little guy, he sure is cute.
