Hello. My husband and I have been rehabbing an abandoned baby grey tree squirrel which fell from a tree at his job site. She is between 4 and 5 weeks old and drinking esibilac no solids. Today, I noticed that she was bleeding a little bit where here bottom teeth where her top gum. I offered her kibble to chew at but she doesn't know what to do with it. Her top teeth have not come in yet. Im not sure if this is normal or if there is something i can do to help her. Also, how do I teach her to eat the solids? Im very worried about her. Thank you.

Did you notice this bleeding when she was taking formula?
You syringe feed her, correct?
That is typically when we notice the blood from them "teething".
That will most likely go away tomorrow if that's the source.
What formula are you feeding, is it the powdered puppy esbilac? How much, and how often?
And do you have a weight on her?
Sorry for so many questions, we just want your little one to have the best possible
start in life. Are you looking for a rehabber?
Not to worry about solids yet. If they were with their mom
they wouldn't get solids for weeks, they would just be on
momma's milk.
