Ohkay I have a female squirrel who just turned a year old last month and I was wondering when she will go into heat or if the way she's acting right now says she's getting ready to or already is in heat. She will not stop running back and forth. She's done it for the past few days she does it till she goes to sleep then wakes up and does it again. She doesn't not want me to touch her either and she loves to be pet and get belly itches. Idk if this could relate to her going into hear or if it could be from the new move. We just moved and she can't get out till I squirrel proof. She just has me worried.

IMO - this action seems more like a squirrel that is wanting to be out of her cage.
When a squirrel is going stir crazy from being in their cage to long they will pace
back and forth non-stop until they are let out, they will often chew on the bars of
the cage as well. I suggest squirrel proofing the house ASAP!!
